Our Horses

Fanny May

Fanny May was purchased after being leaving an Amish community. We purchased her as a therapeutic vaulting prospect and she has been a rockstar! Her Belgian build makes her a great seat in both a saddle and vaulting tack! She is now serving kiddos both in therapeutic vaulting and Barn Buddies.

Bodi

Bodi is currently being leased to Justin’s Place for our Barn Buddies therapeutic riding program! She has an incredibly expressive face and is a common favorite among our participants!

Elsa

Elsa is an adoptee from Kentucky Equine Adoption Center. She is a paint cross mare. She was in training for a year and a half at Justin’s Place before beginning into Barn Buddies. She has done a great job for her participants!

Dutton

Dutton was adopted from Kentucky Equine Adoption Center after living a full and well-loved life! He is a Morgan in his mid twenties. Dutton is the SWEETEST gelding we’ve ever met. He is incredibly easy going and serves as a slower ride to help build confidence in our younger kiddos and also those who are beginning to ride more independently!

Scarlet

After being neglected for several years, Scarlet was rescued by Kentucky Equine Adoption Center. She is suspected to be an Arabian Saddlebred cross. She was able to work through her traumatic past experiences and learn how to help young people. Scarlet served for four years working with youth with a history of neglect and abuse. She now works hard providing amazing experiences for foster and adoptive children in our Stable Moments program and for more advanced riders in Barn Buddies.

T.J.

With a show name like “Tijuana Steppin’ and Stylin’” you’ve got to have quite a personality to go with it! He is an “amish broke” KY Rocky Mountain horse. T.J. was re-homed to non-profit work about four years ago after being a family pleasure horse. He is currently being leased to Justin’s Place. He has a curious and playful personality. He works hard to care for his young riders and provide a fun experience for all.

Stitches

Stitches was surrendered to Kentucky Equine Adoption Center after being out to pasture for several years. In her younger years Stitches did it all- from showing 4H barrels to 3 ft jumpers! Her breed is a Paint cross. She is known for her calm demeanor and is incredibly tolerant of beginner riders. Children are drawn to her for her beautiful colored coat and her laid back personality.

Solo.jpg

Solo

After many years providing western riding activities and trail rides, Solo has found his second lifetime career at Justin’s Place! He is a farm favorite! His buckskin coloring makes him a frequently photographed horse and his sweet demeanor makes him a frequently hugged/kissed horse!

Dash.jpg

Dash

Dash has gained the reputation of our big teddy bear. He is a chestnut, quarter horse who works very earnestly at his job! He is being leased to Justin’s Place as a lesson horse. His gentle but bumpy jog is many of our participant’s favorites!

Ruby

Ruby is leased to Justin’s Place as a lesson pony. She is our shortest rideable horse with a great choppy step and attitude! Most recently, Ruby has been teaching our more advanced riders how to ride independently.

We are looking for a new 4 legged friend!

We are happy to review any horse on paper but please know therapeutic riding requires a very specific type of demeanor and we are often looking for a very specific type of body build and movement when looking for a new partner!

At this time, and ideal equine partner would be 14-15 hands, wide draft type build, age 7-10, well desensitized, no health issues, barefoot, and sound at the walk and trot under saddle. Please share our information or apply HERE.
