Meet Incoming Horses

We are happy to introduce three new horses entering our Barn Buddies program this Winter/Spring!

Elsa

Miss Elsa, a grade pony mare, was adopted from the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center almost a year ago. She was very “green” or untrained when she came to us but was calm, sweet, and eager to learn. She offers a more narrow barrel for participants to sit on who may have tight legs or need more of a challenge on their balance. She has a great smooth trot and is incredibly curious.

Ruby

Ruby, the pony cross, was offered to Justin’s Place as a lease from one of our incredible volunteers! She is around 17 years old and has done mounted riding games with her owner! She offers more of a pony height for our participants, a short choppy trot, and a bomb proof brain!

Tang

Tang, the thoroughbred, looks and acts more like a Quarter Horse! He was offered to Justin’s Place as a lease and has learned the ropes really fast! He offers a taller height for our riders, a really big smooth trot and the opportunity to advance riding skills. He was a jumper with his owner and does a great job looking beautiful as he moves in the arena.
