What does it mean to be a certified instructor?

To be a “certified instructor” at Justin’s Place, means our instructors have completed a minimum of a year mentorship and have met the criteria provided by PATH Intl (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship). Instructors in Training have to complete online classes, get a minimum of 25 hours mounted teaching hours, time handling horses, time working with individuals with disabilities, submit a video teaching a riding lesson, and pass a written, proctored exam! Right now Justin’s Place has three certified instructors and three in the process of becoming certified.
