Hear from Deb- Volunteer

Hello! My name is Deb. When I retired from nursing almost five years ago, I knew I wanted to volunteer with children and horses. My riding instructor at the time introduced me to Allie and I started volunteering at Safe Haven Equine Ministry. I knew I had found my calling. Now I’m volunteering at Justin’s Place and I love it! The minute I step out of my car I feel the peace and serenity of the farm. The children in the program are precious and I learn so much from them. I observe their interactions with Allie, the horses, and the other animals and I learn so much about trust, confidence, and courage. I leave with a full heart. The participants give so much to me. I look forward to the days when I can spend time at Justin’s Place!
