No such thing as horse therapy!

Many in our community refer to what we do as “horse therapy” because they know it’s more than just riding lessons! However, using the term “horse therapy” can cause damaging effects to our industry such as- lack of uniformity and understanding, inability to be reimbursed by insurance for services that should be billable, challenges in research showing the efficacy of our work, and more!

What we do at Justin’s Place can be referred to as Therapeutic Riding and/or Equine Assisted Learning!
