2021 Featured volunteer for August - Amia

This is what Amia wanted to say about her time at Justin’s Place! Thank you Amia for being such an awesome Volunteer!!

“I've always loved animals and was raised to always find a good cause to volunteer for, do my part to make the world a bit better. I heard about Justin's Place last winter, and started following the Justin's Place facebook page to learn more. In April I went through volunteer training, and started volunteering. My first week I picked up several volunteer time slots and was dumbfounded. The work and effort from the staff, volunteers, parents and animals - all coming together to help a kid learn a new skill, practice something they already know, and light up when riding their horse has been the coolest thing I've ever seen, and continues to impress me every time. One of my favorite experiences is with a kid I've been sidewalking with. She's working on using her words. The smile on her face when she tells Solo to "Walk On", and he walks on is amazing. Thank you for letting me help out. It's a blessing.”
