Morning Riding Camp

Our first camp of the season was mid June! Campers enjoyed a riding lesson and rotations through learning stations! Stations included activities with our barnyard animals, our miniature ponies, sensory play and equine learning. Each day had a topic. On day 1, we learned about equine body parts. On day 2 we learned about markings and colors. On day 3 we learned about the tack and tools it takes to ride a horse! Camps are so important for our participants and their families. It gives them enrichment and learning through their summer in a setting that varies from our typical weekly lessons. Camps provide countless opportunities for problem-solving, social skills and emotional regulation.
