Horse Feature: Elsa
Elsa is an 11 year old grade mare. She is mostly brown and white, but also has pops of black in her mane and tail! She was adopted from Kentucky Equine Adoption Center in 2022 with only a few rides on her and little to no farrier work. She was in training for just over a year under the direction of our farm manager Ms Presley! Presley taught her how to stand for the farrier, how to tolerate various stimulus on the ground and under saddle and how to walk and trot consistently with a full therapeutic riding team! She just entered the lesson program at the end of 2023 with a few riders. She is gaining experience in our Barn Buddies program and has done a great job! She quickly understood her role and settled in to the point of almost falling asleep at times during lessons!
Elsa is the top of her herd and has strong protective instincts for her equine friends. She is incredibly curious and interested in humans and kids. Elsa is still in need of sponsorship for the 2024 year! You can sponsor her for just $300! She is the easiest keeper and youngest horse in our riding herd, which means she will be able to serve kids for many years to come!!
